i belive so.
i know there are lots of Persians in Oz, and i assume quite a few will have ended up in Sydney.

Yes. I don't know of any social gatherings, but Anahita restaurant (Persian) in Lane Cove is pretty cool. (7/54 Burns Bay Rd)
