Is there any UK agencies, hatt provide work in New Zealand?

I am looking for any agencies that are based in the uk that provide work opportunities in New Zealand
Is there any UK agencies, hatt provide work in New Zealand?
Generally all of the New Zealand employment agencies are based in New Zealand. I would suggest doing a preliminery web search for job opportunities in NZ, talk to some of the recruitment agencies then, if you are getting a positive response take a trip out to NZ for a week of solid interviews. If you have a trade or profession that is in high demand in NZ then you may be offered a job without having to meet the company in person, however in most circumstances the company will want to meet you before they offer you a job.

You should also see what visa you will eligible for. If you are highly skilled you may be eligible for a skilled migrant visa or alternatively you can look at applying for a work permit if you manage to secure a job offer.

I am a migration consultant based in London - I can give you some further guidance on the visa process if you email me on Jessica.Stooke@Visalogic.net or you can visit our website -- http://www.visalogic.net/New-Zealand_NZ-Home-Page_pie.aspx?t=3&t2=55.

Do a google search

If you're prepared to do farm work, try Farm Key. There are several other agencies that find farm jobs for you overseas. NZ has a wide range of livestock, market gardening, flower production, horticulture and fish and mussel farming operations, and there's a labour shortage in some of these fields.

is there any supermarkets near Upper Roma St in Brisbane?

is there any supermarkets near Upper Roma St in Brisbane?
at central station, roma st, there are quite aq few shops. There is coles in the mall, and little convenience stores all about. The best bet is to go down to paddington wollorths, or into the city for big grocery shops.
is there any supermarkets near Upper Roma St in Brisbane?

Walk down past the fire station towards the city, past the bus terminal centre and theres a seven eleven on the right nearer to the city.
Otherwise, its only a short stroll to the main streets behind the Mall.

Is there any streets comparable in Sydney where the rich live and there is culture like Broadway in NYC?

Is there any streets comparable in Sydney where the rich live and there is culture like Broadway in NYC?
Central Sydney does not have nearly the amount of residential buildings as NY. There are some scattered around, and I suppose those at the north end, near the harbour, would be the nearest equivalent. They are buildings like the Toaster (too hard and too much history to explain the name) or Quay West. But the focus is the Harbour - not particular streets.

There are obviously affluent and less affluent suburbs. As a huge (and therefore inaccurate) generalisation, north and east are affluent and south and west are less affluent.

There is no one street in Sydney that has all the theatres like in New York. Instead they are dotted all around the city.

Answering your question means I must know everything as I am Aussie and by simply answering this question it proves us Aussie's are not to dumb to answer questions as the question asked has been answered. I hope I helped you out in this age old question.

is there any opprtunity for me in NewZealand?
New Zealand has a shortage of nurses, as many locally trained nurses leave to work overseas. So yes, go to www.immigration.govt.nz and check out your options.

Google New Zealand Immigration. This government department has a list of occupations for which they're recruiting people overseas. They update it every six months. Good luck.

Is there any Mosques in Launceston? (Tasmania)?
Unfortunatly for people wishing to attend an Islamic Mosque in Launceston, Tasmania, there are no Mosques there, but as there are some Muslim's (although not many, Over 75% of Tasmanian's who practice religion are either Anglican or Catholic Christians), there may be a place where they gather to worship together. Your best bet if you wish to contact them is to get in contact with the Mosque in Hobart, and ask for advice. There details are as follows:

Is there any major difference/advantage flying first class rather than business class?

Is there any major difference/advantage flying first class rather than business class?
Nothing major unless it's a long flight like overseas. Usually just means get your own bathroom for fewer people and free alcohol (not really worth it unless it's a long flight where sleeping will be an issue).
Is there any major difference/advantage flying first class rather than business class?
first class have better service and the seats are more comfortable.
first class have better service and the seats are more comfortable.
i don't think it matters is just to pay more money. One time i went to McAllen tx and my plane had very few people so i just went up to the front of the plane and sat down on the first class.i guess i got lucky, no one said nothing to me.
As an airline person, I would say absolutly. Fully reclining seat are a benifit. Name recognition is a plus. Check in at the first class checkin and not have to wait in the regular lines. Priority boarding. Amminity kits. Pride in sitting where few can.just to name a few
First Class is where travel becomes a pleasure. You are treated better than at the top restaurants and hotels. The confort level is great and you will never get a cranky host/hostess.
In my opinion there are not major differences. But is it worth the price difference? Without question. It is so nice to be able to have plenty of room in your seat, which is comfortable anyway. The service is better, the food is better, etc. It is just nicer all the way around. If you have to fly and can afford the upgrade, than I would do it. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed with the upgrade.

    Hope this helps!
The seats are bigger that's all.
    The cost!

I know that the, shall we say, more recent arrivals to Melbourne from Sierra Leone made their way to Sydney and that the preferred method of transport was train, due to the lack of ID checks, but I'm not sure where the immigrants of longer standing live.

No, because they keep running away
They were meant to be staying in the Athlete's Village in the centre of Melbourne while they were here for the Commonwealth Games. And as you already know they went missing. They were found in Sydney's Northern Beaches. They were staying with a wealthy women who had invited them to stay at her house.

According to my girl Fiona, live on Yahoo Voice, the Fox Studios only shows movies and such there presently. Nothing much there now, it's all been closed.
Is there a universal studio theme park in Australia near Syndey?
no. The closest 'hollywood' theme park is in queensland, 'Movie World'.

The last major theme park 'Wonderland' shut its doors a few years ago which had the big rollercoasters. Your best bet now is Luna Park. It is situated on the base of the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, but as a theme park it is targeted for young kids. Nothing terribly exciting in terms of finding scary rides.

Another place to check out is Fox Studios at Moore Park. This place is good for hollywood kinda things, but there are no rides as you would find at a typical theme park.

Is there a sure and easy way for me and my wife to migrate to Canda or Australia from the Philippines?
There is no such an easy way, especially when were talking about migration. They are always guidelines. As far I know Points Test are always their basis..In Australia 120 points you needed before you qualify to migrate. Canada I think 67 to 70 Points.. Skilled workers who are good in English language are in-demand in Australia..If you think you have that two already you are most likely pre-qualified..Visit www.immi.gov.au for more info.

You can buy ciggies lots of places. Supermarkets, specialty cigarette shops. Just make sure you are over 18 years of age.
Cigarettes are available everywhere. There are even vending machines that sell them.

Quit while you still have your health.
Well, you can buy anyway ranging from deli shops to supermarkets. I wouldnt recomend you to buy here in Australia. If I were you, I would buy it on the duty free shop at the airport just before entering the custom. trust me, way lot cheaper.

Is there "tourist health care" in New Zealand?

We're thinking about visiting New Zealand this upcoming winter. What happens if we get sick or injured? Is there such a thing as "tourist health care" there? Back in the 80's a friend visited NZ and her son broke his arm. She said there was no fee for his treatment. We doubt that's still the case. What do you know?

    Thanks, The Roamers
Is there "tourist health care" in New Zealand?
In NZ we don't believe in suing every man and is dog (thank goodness!) so we have a government run system called 'ACC' (Accident Compensation Corporation), so if you have an accident then it is covered by our public hospitals free. If you have to go to a private clinic (better than waiting 2 hours to be seen) you pay about $15NZD (That's monopoly money if you have USD's or Pounds) and ACC covers the rest. In the case of sickness you visit a doctor (about $50NZD) and then if referred to a hospital it's free. As for major surgical work, if it's as a result of say a car accident it's free, if it's health related (such as heart attack and you need heart surgery) you'd be best to have insurance. Even private surgical is a hell of a lot cheaper than say countries like the US anyway. If I was coming to NZ, I wouldn't bother with insurance and if you don't come with it, you can't sue me for giving you that advise if something goes wrong. cool country aye? As a side note you also can't sue the pants of the person who caused injury, ACC gives you a pathetic payout for that (say $10,000 for an amputated thumb) :o)

If you dont like to hot weather July august in queensland are the best month. It doesn't rain much but pack a jump the night get a little cold. but not to bad.
is the weather ok in queensland in july/august?
    Ok is very subjective!

QLD is a very large area and temperatures and weather patterns vary according to location. Keep in mind there was a cyclone this week and drought in other areas! Far North Queensland is very tropical compared to the more southern areas. That means wet season in summer.

These 3 links gove you av temperatures in 3 areas or you can get more detail from the BOM.

is the water from water taps safe 2 drink, without boiling b4,2 drink direct from the water taps in Australia?

is the water from water taps safe 2 drink, without boiling b4,2 drink direct from the water taps in Australia?
What?! Are you people on crack or something - of course water is fine to drink from taps here we have treatment plants that Filter,Chlorinate and Fluorinate the same as any other developed country. Some of the smaller communities may use bore water which might not taste or smell quite like evian (admittedly Adelaides water also has a bit of an odd taste) but it is subject to testing for unhealthy microbes and heavy metals to make sure it's safe before it's ever tapped. If you drink stagnant water or from a river then sure you might get sick, but TAP Water should always be fine.
is the water from water taps safe 2 drink, without boiling b4,2 drink direct from the water taps in Australia?
In major cities it should be OK.

In rural communities or villages watch out.

Untreated river water is not a good to drink.

rule 1: never drink water directly from taps . filter or boil first
Yeah man, problem is we are running out of water cause of drought:) but yes water is safe to drink.
do it all the time, my 3rd head hasn't caused me any problems ;). i don't think it's safe in adelaide, i cant confirm that though. other capital cities it's ok. most rural areas have water tanks so if the tank is clean you'll most likely be fine.
as far as I'm aware it's mostly ok. if ya get out in real rural areas sometimes it can be a bit of a concern. the main reason usually that people sometimes feel sick after drinking tap water is that their bodies are not accustomed to the specific molecule makeup of some water. like if its water originating from an underground resevoir or from a river each place will have different traces of other substances, and if you for instance live in WA and go to Victoria or New South Wales the water will be slightly different and so therefore your body may react differently.

yes, but it is hard to find. It took me a while to see it because it is a lot smaller than you would think

    yeah of coarse
Yeah, I've seen it on Google Earth. You will see a tiny Opera House, while the real one is huge.
Take a look at the centre of Sydney. Then move towards the sea (east).
If you have found the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House is not really far from it. Try to look again. You'll be luckier this time.
i'm not sure, i haven't been using google earth for quite some time already.

Is the snowy mountain in sydney and melbourne the same ?

Is the snowy mountain in sydney and melbourne the same ?
The Snowy Mountains (part of the Great Dividing Range) are only in NSW. The Victorian Alps also get snow, and are a linked range, but not the same thing. However, neither the Snowy mountains or the Victorian Alps are especially close to either Sydney or Melbourne (4 hours drive from Melbourne to the alps and 5 from Sydney to the Snowys).
Is the snowy mountain in sydney and melbourne the same ?
There are no snowy mountains in Sydney. They are about a 5 hour drive from Sydney. Not sure about Victorian alps
There are no snowy mountains in Sydney. They are about a 5 hour drive from Sydney. Not sure about Victorian alps
you may be getting confused with the Blue Mountains which are located not too far from Sydney. The Snowy Mountains are several hours drive from Sydney. Also a few hours drive from Melbourne are the other mountains in Aussie which receive snow in winter . these more or less back onto the Snowies in NSW.
Here are the informational websites for the three different mountains you may be thinking of:
Snowy Mountains NSW (5 hours South of Sydney):

Victorian Snow Alps (4.5 Hours North of Melbourne):

PS The Blue Mountains do get snow, although it is quite rare and not anything worth skiing on!

Is the ocean cold on the east coast (from brisbane and north)?

Do people wear wetsuits when they surf there? and what thickness if they do.
    (this time of year)
    thanks
Is the ocean cold on the east coast (from brisbane and north)?
The water is very warm in the summer months.
In the other seasons, us queenslanders are often in the water. Its great to live here in the north of brissy.
The only thing is if its a cool day you can get cold from the wind after you get out. Although most days in winter are still warm.
There are some people that wear wetsuits only if they intend to stay in the water for awhile. My boys do while surfing but its just normal thickness.
    Cheers and have beers :)
Oh and in the top end around cairns its very warm in the water.
Just watch for stingers and box jelly fish, and maybe a croc or 2. Yes I'm for real.

Is Thailand a good holiday destination?

Bali used to be a great place for Aussies to holiday, is Thailand as cheap? It looks beautiful in brochures.
Is Thailand a good holiday destination?
Thailand is great. I especially love Krabi. The food is good, the beaches are nice and there are spas all over. Phukett has nice resorts too. As an alternative, I recommend going to the Philippines. Boracay and Palawan's beaches are so much nicer but there aren't many decent 5 star resorts as compared to Bali and Krabi/ Phukett. But the sand is so much finer (very close to the texture and color of powder) and the water is crystal clear turquoise. If you don't mind 3-4 star accommodations, I would say go to the Philippines. But if you're picky about it, I say Thailand.
Is Thailand a good holiday destination?
If i we're you i would visit the philippines instead. Have you heard of the place Boracay? it was voted as one of having the world's best beaches. The locals are friendly and hospitable, they can speak english and the food's great. and it's also cheap

Yes, it is it has several nice places, Pataya, Changmai and Phuket. The only problem is the sex turism there whivh is rife

  • Is Sydney nice durning the months of June, July, and August?

Is Sydney nice durning the months of June, July, and August? Like can I still go swimming at the beach? Is it more expensive or cheaper? Is it really cold?
Is Sydney nice durning the months of June, July, and August?
We went to Sydney and the Great Barrier Reefs, etc. in early June and didn't have any problems as far as the weather was concerned. Just be prepared that it is not summer like in the Northern Hemisphere.
The jelly fish was actually gone from the swimming areas.
But if you stick with Sydney, there will be no problem.
    No worry!
Is Sydney nice durning the months of June, July, and August?
It's winter in Sydney during June, July and August and while it's not freezing it's not warm enough to swim at the beach without a wetsuit (or unless you are very tough). It's probably cheap season for tourists though as most come during our summer (northern hemisphere winter).

It'll be winter during those months in the southern hemisphere. I think you should go during spring, ard mid spetember, beautiful scenary and weather is just "right" for tourists to not feel too grumpy.
it is winter, but not that cold, depending on where you ar coming from. about 14 to 20 degrees c
Sydney is always nice :) And from whatever country you are - you can call it "eternal spring".

June - August are however, the coldest months in Sydney. Although friends from the US visiting in August are amazed that they can walk around in t-shirts and a light jacket.

The beach is probably not a good idea. that's usually from late September all the way to early April.

    I recommened Sept/Oct and Mar/April.

I'll go there next week right during the show, any guys help.thanks
Is Sydney Eastershow worth visiting?i'm city girl, love to have some fun?
Definitely it is fun! I haven't been in years and years, but I plan go this year.

It is great to go at a time where you can see the day and night shows, so plan to leave a little later in the day, in the early afternoon.

There is so much to see and do and of course there are the showbags!

Where comfy shoes and layer your clothes as it can be hot in the day and cool at night. A small backpack is good too, so you can have your hands free.
Is Sydney Eastershow worth visiting?i'm city girl, love to have some fun?
It can be fun - not cheap but if you have a little cash to spend - yeah, I'd go. I think a night out at Luna Park is more fun though.

The Easter Show can be fun but probably best for younger kids. There are some good shows and exhibits though, plus showbags and amusement rides. It can get expensive though - and it has never been as good out at Homebush as it used to be at Moore Park.
    Yes, it's great fun.

Try to go before all the kids are on school holidays as it gets a little crazy.
If you're a city girl you'll probably love all the farm animals on display - from cute little lambs to massive bulls and horses. There might also be some cute country farm boys in town!!
Yes it is lots of fun. There should be a guide out (maybe in the Telegraph?) soon with the program of what's on.

Is RMIT still having financial & admin. problems?

I've been accepted to a masters program at RMIT (I'm from the US) and am considering the offer. I like the course/class offerings & faculty, however I found a news article from Nov. 2004 outlining a bunch of financial problems that RMIT was having and problems with their student administration system.

Does anyone know if these problems are still ongoing or if they've been resolved over the past year or so? I'd rather not encounter any problems with an admin system that could put me in jeopardy of losing my visa. If anyone's got insight on this, I'd appreciate it.

    Thanks!
Is RMIT still having financial & admin. problems?
There were stories in the IT section of some newspapers but these were not filtering through to mainstream stories. Many companies experience cost overruns such as this on major IT projects. It does not affect student attendence, they continue to handle many international students every year, there have been no new news stories that I can remember in recent times. It is a professionally run institution and you should have a great time studying here.

    Do a google search
If you're prepared to do farm work, try Farm Key. There are several other agencies that find farm jobs for you overseas. NZ has a wide range of livestock, market gardening, flower production, horticulture and fish and mussel farming operations, and there's a labour shortage in some of these fields.

Is there any streets comparable in Sydney where the rich live and there is culture like Broadway in NYC?
There is no one street in Sydney that has all the theatres like in New York. Instead they are dotted all around the city.

Is there an area where Sierra Leonese people live in Melbourne?
I know that the, shall we say, more recent arrivals to Melbourne from Sierra Leone made their way to Sydney and that the preferred method of transport was train, due to the lack of ID checks, but I'm not sure where the immigrants of longer standing live.
Is there an area where Sierra Leonese people live in Melbourne?
No, because they keep running away
No, because they keep running away
They were meant to be staying in the Athlete's Village in the centre of Melbourne while they were here for the Commonwealth Games. And as you already know they went missing. They were found in Sydney's Northern Beaches. They were staying with a wealthy women who had invited them to stay at her house.
I found an artical from a newspaper here, so you can read all about it for yourself if you wish.

I live in THAILAND and the AUSTRALIAN government is running television commercials here for immigrants to come to AUSTRALIA and live. I would check www.australiangovernment.co.au and check under immigration.Good luck
Apply for migration visa with the Australian Consulate or Embassy in Manila, so long as you pass the points test your in.
Well, I would say it is other way around, I'm from Canada and here we have large Philipino community, as far as I know it woud be easier to come to Canada than OZ. We take everyone and anyone. Visit Immigration Canada web site. Good luck!

I've live in Wellington and have never heard of Stantoin. in fact i checked AA maps http://www.aamaps.co.nz/ and the suburb does not show up. Just to check the depth of the system i tried a really small suburb called 'Naenae' (near where i live) and it showed up. Stantoin does not even sound like a place!

The flights do not get cheaper by the month, they seem to be cheaper if you book months in front of the date you wish to travel
probably during our winter the prices would be cheaper , your summer.at the moment prices are cheap.

The water is very warm in the summer months.
In the other seasons, us queenslanders are often in the water. Its great to live here in the north of brissy.
The only thing is if its a cool day you can get cold from the wind after you get out. Although most days in winter are still warm.
There are some people that wear wetsuits only if they intend to stay in the water for awhile. My boys do while surfing but its just normal thickness.
    Cheers and have beers :)

Is return ticket a compulsion to buy for a person going on 6 months visit visa?
It's not compulsory but you will will have a far easier time getting your visa and a smoother time through immigration at the airport if you do.

Immigration will keep you waiting and interview you a lot if you don't have a return ticket and don't have a visa that allows you to stay in the country.

NZ has a wide range of livestock, market gardening, flower production, horticulture and fish and mussel farming operations, and there's a labour shortage in some of these fields.

is there any supermarkets near Upper Roma St in Brisbane?
at central station, roma st, there are quite aq few shops. There is coles in the mall, and little convenience stores all about. The best bet is to go down to paddington wollorths, or into the city for big grocery shops.
